Marrying during the 4-year tenure is prohibited. * Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation (10th) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate AND completed a 3-year Diploma course from an AICTE-recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate in fields under: * Engineering: Marine, Mechanical, Production/Automobile, Refrigeration & AC, Repair & Maintenance, Power Plant, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, etc. * Electrical: Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation Technology, etc. * Exact Age Criteria: * For 01/2027 Batch: Born between 01 Dec 2004 and 31 May 2009 (both dates inclusive). * For 02/2027 Batch: Born between 01 May 2005 and 31 Oct 2009 (both dates inclusive). 🎯 Process of Selection The selection cycle is completely distinct and rigorous, split into two primary testing environments: 1. Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET): A 1-hour computer-based, objective bilingual test featuring 100 questions (1 mark each). It spans four sections: English & General Awareness, Science, Mathematics, and Diploma (Trade Specific). Penalty for wrong answers is 0.25 marks. Sponsor candidates and NCC 'C' certificate holders are exempted from INET if verified 2. Stage II: State-wise Shortlisted Candidates Only: Includes a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), a secondary Written Exam (100 questions, 1 hour), and a Recruitment Medical Examination. 3. Pre-Enrolment Medicals: Final induction is mandatory upon clearing final medical protocols at INS Chilka. 📐 Mandatory Physical & Medical Standards * Physical Fitness Test (PFT): 1.6 Km run in 06 minutes 30 seconds, 20 Squats, 15 Push-ups, and 15 Bent Knee Sit-ups. * Minimum Height: 157 cms. * Visual Standards: Uncorrected vision of 6/12, 6/12, correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Color perception must be CP PASS. * Tattoos: Permitted only on the inner face of forearms or the reverse side of palms/back of hands. 💼 Remuneration & Benefits (Agniveer Scheme) * Duration of Service: 4 Years. On completion, up to 25% of each specific batch will be considered for permanent enrolment into the regular cadre as sailors (Artificers). * Monthly Pay Structure: Starts at ₹30, 000 in the 1st year and rises to ₹40, 000 in the 4th year.
